This site's creator, who happens to be the same person behind Just a Gwai Lo, a few months ago saw a post in the LiveJournal Vancouver community wondering if anybody had been using 43 Things. Someone commented sarcastically saying that no, but they'd use a site called 43 Thongs. The 43thongs.com domain was availble, and a parody was born.

Wear thongs

This site, while looking a lot like 43 Things (it wouldn't be a funny parody if it looked like something else, would it?), is one man's catalog of pictures of thongs. No, not the pictures of thongs one typically looks for on on sites of ill repute, but pictures of thongs that one puts on one's feed. Flip flops. Sandals. You get the idea. To get your photo of thongs (and nothing but thongs), post a photo to Flickr ang tag it with 'thongs'. (Warning: some of the photos are photos of thongs that one puts on sites of ill repute.) That won't guarantee your photo gets republished here. But not taking it will guarantee that it will not.
